A Green Label

Oryx is as a "green label". Most of our business process are digital, from distribution, to promotion, administration (paper and cds use is reduced to the minimum). Our office is powered by solar energy and waste is sorted for recycling. Oryx is also known for its green initiatives. In 2008, for example, the no-profit org "Trees for the future" has re-planted of a grove of 1000 trees in Haiti thanks to our donation (we donated a small amount for each copy sold of Danny Darko "We Need To Wake Up" sold).

"1 Record = 1 Tree"

In 2007 Oryx Music has commited to donate to the no-profit org "Trees for the future" an amount necessary to plant a tree in a specific area of a developing country for every 2 downloads or 1 record sold of the single "We Need To Wake Up!" by Danny Darko.

Thanks to our donation, Trees For The Future has planted a grove of 1000 trees in Haiti in honor of Oryx Music, and issued us a certification to testify our help. Haiti has experienced severe problems of deforestation in the last decades; this forced a lot of local people into hunger and poverty and ultimately to the riots that recently overthrown the haitian goverment. Our little contribution not only helped a bit this people but contributed to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere.
